The Madraza Ben Yusuf was founded in the Merini dinasty in the 14th Century. It was reconstructed in 1564 by Sultan Saadita Abadia. In it, you will be able to observe poems that have been engraved in the wood of the entrance door.
The madraza was a highly prestigious university style school in Marrakech, Morocco, where theology, Koran law, Arabic language and literature, astronomy, and mathematics were taught. The educative methods they used were supported by the memorization method, as the students had to memorize all of the texts they studied.
